: I have just been diagnosed with polycistic ovarian disease, and am having similar problems, to most people in the fact that i dont have periods if i dont take birth control pills.
: Could someone please tell me how the disorder effects a persons personality. I have found that i have no sex drive at all, and all i do is give my boyfriend a hard time... So much so, that as of late we have argued so much that i dont know what i want anymore, i am really confused... PLEASE HELP ME!?!
Ok here's some answers, girl...
Ok i've just been diagnosed with PCOS also. And actually mine's not that bad. I hardly have periods, and i have acne, but luckily i don't have excessive weight gain and hirsutism aka excessive body hair. my hair's just really dark on my arms and legs, but anyway.. I've been doing a lot of researching and found out that the reason we dont have a high sex drive is because it decreases the sex-hormone. and the BC pill and some other medications will help get your body on track. I've noticed i've had that problem too. it ticks me off. "Anyway, hope i helped in some way. good luck, and don't worry, it'll get better.
