Hi Wilma, My names Renee and I was diagnosed with PCOS 13 years ago. The way it was explained to me was that you produce a lot of little cysts in your ovaries caused by low progesterone levels in the body, and also an intolerance to insulin produced by the body which in turn can cause the testosterone in your body to multiply to a level that will harden the outer skin of your ovaries, i.e. more hair growth, absence of periods, weight gain. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and are now talking about invitro and other alternatives to getting pregnant after having been through most of the other routes. I would suggest you look on the web and or go to the library for more information as I did. If you would like to email me please do. I will try to help you as much as possibly even if it is to talk.
