In reply to the subject of meniere's. I have suffered from the disease for 13 years and I am only 31, my doctor said that it only happened to older people due to arthritis in the neck. The first few years were the worst, I would get dizzy and the room would start spinning and then very sick and could not move my head for hours and then I could sleep for hours. Recently I have been suffering from loss of balance, I could fall over or if I as sitting down I could can be thrown to one side and go into a big spin. My biggest fear is if it happens while I am driving especially when I don't get any warning, has this happened to anyone else? I find that a low sodium diet helps and too much alcholol makes the ringing in my ear much louder. I have been attending as osteopath and it is helping me very much, he says that I have a problem with my TMJ joint and my bite is out of line which puts pressure on the jaw joint and can affect the ringing in the ears and meneries. I would love to hear from someone that has found a cure, at this stage I can't stand the dizzy spells, the spinning and the loud ringing in my ear any more. .
