I have this same crazy disease. I had my first attack in 1994. At first my doctors thought that I had multiple sceloris. The attacks of dizziness are so bad that I have had to miss work, have been hospitablized, and seen at least five specialists. I have found that Antivert helps but now I have been reading that too much of the drug enders balance and can increase blurry vision. My symptoms increase with PMS and if my diet includes too much salt and caffiene the symptoms increase. My first really serious attack followed a boat ride. At first I thought I was just sea sick. But for days after I felt that I could fall at any second. As a teacher many times looking down a papers the vertigo over takes me and anxiety sets in when serious attacks occur. Because I have never been a drinker I don't know how alcohol would affect me. But I do know that lighting some times increases the dizziness, in supermarkets and malls the various differences in lighting increases the vertigo. This is a terrible disease that no one seems to understand. I relate to everything you said. I wish you luck.
