Mastoidectomy for infection

I had a simple mastoidectomy to remove infection Nov. 98--which didn't work, and a complete
matoidectomy 6 weeks ago. The infection was so pervasive that I may be facing a radical
matoidectomy. Does anyone know of any treatments--other than having my head chopped
open again--to remove the infection
