I am not sure what you have exactly, but I have experienced this symptom as well. I have a conditon called Eustachian Tube Dysfunction where your eustachian tube becomes swollen and inflammed, not allowing airflow through the ears. This problem causes dizzyness or an "off" feeling, ear pain, ear pressure or fullness. I had tubes inserted in my ears to correct this problem and during my recovery, I expereinced the heartbeat sound in my ears. It sounds like a swooshing sound that is in time with my heartbeat. It mostly is noticable at night when I am lying down or when it is really quiet.

I am not saying that you have ETD, but I think the sound comes from fluid being in your ears. Either in your eustachian tube or your middle ear. I would reccommend going to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist and have him look in your ear. You do not want to let a potential ear problem go, trust me, I know.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Wendy
