Did your son ever have this surgery? I really would like to know his outcome because I have a 9-year-old son with the same situation, fortunately, only one the left eardrum has a hole oppose to both. However, he does have sight hearing loss in that ear. I, too, am doing research before his surgery because this procedure seems very scary!
