: : Hi I have posted all over the net with not much luck !
: : I am trying to find someone who has been here with this surgery as my 7 year old son needs this and i need to talk !
: : He has tubes / grommets in both ears at age 2 then in his bad ear at age 4 .
: : Now he has HUGE holes in both ears and is open to many bad infects !
: : He has no hearing loss so far , as is the norm with holes in ear drums !
: : The opperation scares me as of the bad cons to it !
: : please if you or your child has been here talk with me !
: : Thanks so much cazzz !
: : icq is 3115579 !
: Did your son ever have this surgery? I really would like to know his outcome because I have a 9-year-old son with the same situation, fortunately, only one the left eardrum has a hole oppose to both. However, he does have sight hearing loss in that ear. I, too, am doing research before his surgery because this procedure seems very scary!
: I would appeciate if you would email me his followup. Thanks,
: Christine.baum@worldnet.att.net
I also am in the same predicament with my 9 yo daughter. She needs this in her left ear only. I have been told about a skin graft by my ENT and about a gel patch by a friend. I am trying to sift through the reasons why you would need the skin graft vs. the gel patch.
