: You know, I completely understand the frusteration that comes with repeatedly hearing the same thing over and over again. I have had problems with my ears for over four years now and I've been treated for everything from a collapsed eustacian tube to viral labrythitis and everything in between. The only thing that did even a little bit of good was the treatment for the eustacian tube (which actually did happen). Everything else seems to me to be the doctors way of saying "Gee, I just don't know what's wrong with you so lets try this." I've done my own research and I know that viral labrynthitis is an infection of the inner ear labrynth that occurs after or during a cold. I have not had a cold for four years! In fact, I have not HAD a cold in over five years. I'm amazingly healthy...except for my ears. I really can't tell you any answers, except that I understand what you're going through. What I can tell you is that I've discovered some things that work a little towards alleviating the symptoms. I've massively cut down on caffeine and sugar. I make sure that I get as good of a rest as possible every night (that's a challenge in itself)

: I have earaches, I'm starting to have difficulty hearing properly, movement (especially the wrong movement) can land me flat on my butt, I have vertigo and dizziness (yes, they are distinctly different things) and I have attacks of vertigo even when I'm sitting down (let me tell you, that is quite a trip). It's been suggested to me that I may have inner ear disorder, but I really can't find any info on that. I know I haven't really said anything that can be of much help to you, but at least you know that your not alone. All I can say, is arm yourself with as much information as you possibly can. The more you know, the better prepared you are to face the doctors.

: Cheers
