Has Anyone Ever Heard of This?

Hi. I have experienced dizziness for 6 yrs. now. (Vertigo only once.)

I had an MRI and ENG/calorics testing. Results: said "left canal paresis", which I believe means the balance
mechanisms aren't working at the same speed, which they decided must have been caused by some kind
of 'viral neuronitis' in my past (which I certainly don't recall having). So.....would this totally rule out
possibly having Meniere's Disease?

I suppose what confuses me is that I have horrible tinnitus, which oftentimes is related to Meniere's or an acoustic
neuroma.

Could having 'left canal paresis' cause me to have tinnitus?

Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
