: I am 14 years old. Had a wonderful life. Very Healthy. But in the past month I have
: experienced dizzyness. Almost everytime I get up from a lying down or sitting position I
: experience dizzyness. Sometimes extreme and sometimes not as bad. But the first time I
: experienced dizzyness in such a way I Passed Out. I completely blacked out for about 8-12
: secs. After that my dizzyness never went away. I saw a neurologist and he said i need an
: EEg. So i got that. came back negative. Then even before that i had an EKG, Ctscan,
: chest x-ray u name it. I still am passing out to this day. I am on medication but we still need
: to find the right kind.
I have had the same problem starting 11 years ago when I was 17. I saw a cardiologist who gave me a tilt test (which was evidently pretty new back then) and I failed the test. The test tracks your heart rate and blood pressure and will induce a fainting episode if you have vasovagal syncope. The put me on a combination of florinef (which is a beta blocker) and atenolol. I stayed on those for about 5 years and now I am only on atenolol. It significantly helped me. All of the tests on my heart are also normal. Good luck in getting it resolved.
