Do not rule out a eustachian tube problem. I had similar symptoms when my nightmare started and the doctors told me I had everything from Menieres Disease, BPV, Viral Labrithsitis and Panic/Anxiety Disorder. It turned out to be Eustachian Tube Dysfunction.
Do your research and get as many opinions as you can before you accept your diagnosis and live with it. Everybody told me to give up and listen to the doctors and I refused to accept my fate. Hence, I am cured and can function normally again.
Don't give up and stay strong.
