Sinuses/Feeling Off Balance/Ear Stuffiness

I have always had sinus "problems" but within the last couple of years I've had off balance feelings. I do seem to notice that I have nasal congestion when I have these "dizzy" feelings and my ears always seem to feel like then need to be popped. I can usually pop them through yawning, blowing my nose, etc. but then they seem to close up again after I swallow. I don't have ringing, or pain.
I have been on a course of Ceclor CD, seemed to work minimally and guaifenesin (which I didn't take, as I have a fear of side effects and it said side effect could be dizziness) Yeah, like I need to feel more dizzy!
I then made an appt. with an ENT who told me that my ears looked fine, and my sinuses looked fine, though I had some nasal inflammation. He said that it could be allergies (food allergies, most likely) and that this could cause nasal inflammation and eustachian tube dysfunction. He told me to cut out milk products, which I have with some relief, but not total relief.
Anyone have these experiences? I don't have typical allergy symptoms like the itchy, watery eyes, or the runny nose. And though my head feels a bit heavy, like it would if you had a sinus infection, the mucus is not green, it's clear-white and very, very thick, almost like glue. Please help, as all I really am looking for is some reassurance, that this dizzy, off balance feeling can be sinus/eustachian tube related and for any suggestions, advice on this and/or the food allergies.
Thanks,
Andrea
