I have had similar symptoms for about 4 months now. Although I have also had temperatures and horrific tiredness and lethargy. It began with virtigo like symtoms, unable to concentrate, forgetting words when I was speaking, dizziness and lightheaded/wooly feeling. I also had problems with reading, and typing as the words/letters seemed to jump around. My head felt as if there were something moving from right to left, and the top of my head felt kind of numb, or not there!
Visual disturbances were bad for a while too, and sudden eye movements would set the head spinning. Driving made me feel better though. I cannot move my head up or down without feeling disoriented, and the same with quick eye movements up or down. I have fallen a few times, most notably, into a duck pond!
I now rock with my heartbeat, which is kept under control with beta blockers, but is still visible. I also have crushing tiredness, and my ears feel full, and have high pitched noises sometimes too, in both ears.
I an only now being reffered to a balance clinic at the local hospital, and am feeling very fed up with the whole thing. The thing I find hardest is the tiredness and lack of sleep.
E-mail me if you like, we can chat.
