: I'm now beginning to understand that the symptoms of IBS differ greatly from person to person and there is no "catch-all" plan to get relief.
: Your comment about protein threw me. It has been my understanding that the majority of IBS sufferers are relieved of their symptoms by reducing the meats and dairy (and coffee, chocolate and alchol) from their diets. I have been drastically modifying the way I eat for the past three weeks and the intake of sourdough bread, rice, bananas, applesauce, chicken (small amounds) and some vegetables seems to be helping. However, after reading your comments (re: Gatorade) about the need for protein being greater (?) in people with IBS has me so confused!?! Can you elaborate? Is everything with IBS trial and error?
: I'm going to Ohau in September (first time) and it just galls me to know that I'll have to calculate just where the bathrooms on the island are located!
