: I would have to say that a big part of your problem is your eating habits. Anything with high fructose corn syrup in it is not good for your body -- this means drinking excessive amounts of pop. I don't know about you, but I have tons of trouble consuming too much caffeine also. I think you may just be getting too much sugar in your diet. People with IBS should stay away from sugar and super fatty, fried foods. That is one thing that seems to be universal among IBS'ers. However, each one of us is different and has different "trigger" foods. The best thing for you to do is see if you can find a correlation between what you are eating and when you are having an "attack". Cut certain things out of your diet to see if it helps your situation any. You can start with a real bland diet and gradually add things back in until you find what foods bother your system. This is a long, drawn out process, but is worth it. Hope some of this helps you anyways -- good luck to you and God Bless. TK
