i am devastated that the FDA took lotronex off the market. i've had IBS since the sixth grade (i'm a senior in college now), and nothing has ever helped my diarrhea except for lotronex. i find it unfortunate that a few people died or got severe constipation from this drug, but as i understand it these people shouldn't have been on the drug in the first place. it's a sad day when people who need the drug cannot take it because a number of doctors made the mistake of prescribing this drug to the wrong people. plus, i am sick of reading everywhere that this is a women's drug -- i am a man, thank you, and the drug works wonders. i'm interested in hearing from other people who are as saddened by this news as i am. will glaxo appeal the decision? is there some sort of clinical study i can join to keep taking this drug? is there an underground market for lotronex?!
