: Does anyone here have IBS and also suffers from anxiety? Have you taken anti-anxiety medication that relieved you of your IBS? I have had IBS since I was a child, now 36. I am wondering if my inability to relax is the cause of my "nervous stomach." Thanks, Jack
Anxiety is supposedly one of the key items that triggers and aggravates IBS. It definitly is for me! Many people on this board have tried anti-depressants with some success as well as anti-spasmodics, the most recent taken off the market Lotronex. Many people are extremely unhappy about Lotronex being taken off the market.
