Hi Kim,
IBS symptoms are different for almost everyone. There is a standard but not many doctors go by it and label many digestive problems as IBS. If you have been taking Lotronex chances are you have diarrhea that is primarily caused by a connection between your mind and Gastro tract.Before Lotronex was introduced -- some GI Doctors gave a low dose of an anti-depressant such as Elavil or Paxil.I know very little about this treatment.
I am a big believer in taking Metamucil--a water soluble fiber that is a safe bulk stool forming agent that slows down the diarrhea.I think it's worth a try.
