: is it possible to have a kidney problem and still have an intravenous pyelogram, ct scan, and ultrasound come back normal? i am experiencing a great deal of pain in my Right Upper Quadrant which radiates to my back below my ribs, as though i have a clamp accross the one side of my torso. during these "episodes" the pain increases when i void and i have an increased urinary frequency. any ideas?
I had those types of pains for at least five years. I was only a teenager and the pains were passed
off as muscles aches and pinned gas when it was actually gallbladder attacks. When stones would pass
into the bile duct they would cause intense, sharp pain in my back and chest (rib area). Perhaps mentioning the
possibility of gallbladder stones to your doctor may help you out. Good Luck.
