Did you find out if you had IgA Nephropathy? That is what I was diagnosed with at age 23. I also had protenuria and hematuria in the urine, and my BP was 180/128 (bad for a otherwise healthy 22 year old). Finally found a doctor that was worried, sent me to a kidney doctor who did a biopsy and found the IgA. Now I take 2 BP medicines. That's about all they can do for me. Last year the kidney function was down to 45%.
: Hmmm....maybe I'm not the only odd ball. ;-) I have had the same problem. I have protien and blood in my urine (for years now) and my BP is rising, and I'm only 24 years old! However every diagnostic test in the book comes back normal on me (IVP, cystoscopy, ultrasound, renal scan, VCUG, etc). Turns out that they think I have IgA nephropathy....which is only diagnosed by kidney biopsy (which I just had last week). The results of that come back soon, and if they don;t show something, I think I'm going to cry. It's frustrating because it makes you begin to question if you're imagining your symptoms. Hang in there!!!!!!!
