For the past six months I have had off and on right flank pain. It is mostly in the back. It doesn't usually hurt much unless I bump into something and then it hurts. Feels like the pain is deep. It is definitely not a pulled muscle. I have had changes in urinary frequency and last summer I had pure blood in my urine with no pain whatsoever. Went to the emergency room where they took a urine sample and determined I had a bladder infection because there was blood in the urine. No pain, no fever. I am wondering if the back pain and the urinary problems are related. One last thing...it never hurts while laying down on my back. Any advice welcome.
