I'm female, 46 a smoker who has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. As if that wasn't pain enough, 3 weeks ago I had a crippling backache. The doctor thought it was a slipped disc. She was wrong. A urine test revealed an infection (possibly one that had been present for over a year!) The symptoms took 2 weeks to disappear but now I'm experiencing a constant pain in my lower right abdomen (where the appendix is located). Yesterday I went for an ultrasound of my abdomen and the radiologist must have taken a hundred pictures of my kidneys. For about a year, when I wake up I'm all puffy and have trouble waking. I retain water and some of the foods I used to enjoy, leave me with a reaction. If I drink Clamato juice, or eat shellfish, I puff out almost like my kidneys are having trouble filtering the toxins. Could all of these symptoms be some sort of kidney disease? I won't have the test results until tomorrow, but I'm still frantically searching the net for any and all information.
Thankyou, any comment would be appreciated.
