:Hi, I too have chronic kidney stones so I am very sympathetic to your friend. I would rather give birth to 12 babies at one time than to give birth to one kidney stone. They have checked me for everything you can think of and finally decided to call it a dsyfunctional kidney. In other words I will have to learn to live with this for the rest of my life and hope and a lot of prayer has seen me through for the last 11 years. I too drink bottled water and did follow the diet for several years until they decided it was depleting me of calcium I needed to ost off osteoporois. I still drink the bottled water and watch what I eat. I still have to go through many stent incertions for the drainage of the kidney and I have had a ton of lithotripsies also. I have done so many IVP's and KUB's I don't need a night light because I glow in the dark from so much radiation. (Just Kidding I really don't glow. ) I do find a sense of humor helps me through. I also find knowing it could always be worse, makes me feel a little grateful I am not terminally ill. But the pain is soooo very painful. Thank goodness for powerful medical drugs.
