: : Have any of you stone formers tried any herbs to help? My acupuncturist has suggested that I take Marshmallow Root and Gravel Root. I just wondered if anyone has had any success with something alternative. I drink tons of water and avoid oxalates, but I still have a small stone in each kidney at this point, and often end up in the ER with gravel. Thanks for any help you can provide.
: try magnisium and vit. B6. 50mg daily.
: rice is loaded with B6 and research has show that those who consume rice on a daily basis have no stone formation also gelatin helps prevent crystalization.
Re: Kidney Stones...my doctor recommended Beelith which is a combination of B6 and Magnesium, which I take daily. No prescription needed and most pharmacies should have it on hand. Studies have shown that Magnesium plays a major role in stopping the formation of stones. Also, add fresh lemon juice to your water or drink lemondade. The citric acid in the lemon helps to break down oxalic acid which causes many stones.
