Hi All, My husband's grandfather has experienced complete kidney failure in the last day or so. The doctors have said that due to his advanced age, weakness from a paralyzing stroke, and other multitudes of problems, that there is nothing that can be done for him but keep him comfortable. Does anybody know how long this man could survive? We have heard anywhere from 6 hours to two weeks and are trying desperately to make arrangements so that we can travel to be with him. I realize that the sooner, the better - but how long can a person experiencing total kidney failure realistically live? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
