It's grateful to have your kind help with regards to my sister's problems.

My sister, 48 year old, is now still staying in Hospital in China due to a long-lasting fever for more than 4 months since the kidney transplantation. There seem to be no effective approaches to deal with her illness until now. Because many trials had been failed including anti-viruses and anti-bacteria.

Her main problem is an uncontrolled fever after the kidney transplantation for near 4 months. The temperature usually is around 38 degree, someday, rising from noon. The routine examinations were performed, but no clear evidence to show any kinds of infections. Blood WBC: 3000. According to Doctor's experience, she has been regarded as some kinds of infections with viruses, e.g CMV, etc. Thus, the anti-virus treatment had been extensively as well as different kinds of antibiotics to protect against bacteria. Unfortunately, nothing is functioning for her although the kidney function has been recovered after grafting.

Actually, she was quite good in the first two weeks after operation, but then had a complication with intraperitoneal bleeding at 16 days after the first operation found in leaking tube. After 2nd Emergency operation the fever started and blade was never fully closed (about 2 inches long opened, 120 cm deep) until now. Acute rejection was ruled out. National specialists were asked to see her and the biopsy from cavity was taken and the culturing results showing infection with bacteria that were not required for oxigen. However, fever at about 38.5 degree was now still not able to stop by any of new antibiotics. The current treatment by antibiotics against this kind of bacteria indicates that the infection may not due to the bacteria mentioned above.

Besides immunosuppressive medicine like Cellcept, Sandimiun and prednisonlon, anti-tuberculosis was started. She was also received treatment with increasing nutritions due to her heamoglobulin was reduced 50% and poor general condition.

My sister and all our relatives are almost exhausted due to the failure of resolving her problems with the terrible complications after operation. One can image how silk she is now. We are suffering so much emotionally and economically. We have no way. We have posted this on Creaders.bbs. last week and got very kind suggestions from the net sponsor and other friends. As suggested therefore, I would like to post this here and hope to get more aid from more experienced specialists. We will appreciate very much if you can provide further suggestions on the problems of my sister.

Sincerely,
