kidney worries

i have had a pain in the left hand side of my waist/back for 2 days now.the pain is constant and uncomfortable.it doesnt feel tender to touch.i have been urinating alot during the day.it is a case of when i feel like i need to go to the bathroom i have to get there urgently as it gets like if i dont get there in time i will have an accident.when i get to the bathroom i feel as if i have been building it up and when i do urinate it is not that much.there was a tingling feeling at first but i dont have that anymore.i am having to wear protection in the form of a pantie pad as i have been unable to get to the bathroom on time.i am drinking plenty of water and cranberry juice so i am making sure that roughly every half hour i go to the bathroom and i always have a small amount coming out. is this anything to worry about and should i carry on drinking plenty to flush out any infection which is there?
