: Hi. I am an 18 year old female. I have been having kidney problems for 2 years now. Ive had 1 kidney stone that showed up in ct's and my doctors think I have had more. I have had 5 ct's, 1 x-ray, and 1 IVP. I was hospitalized once because the stone was creating problems. I have also had numerous bladder infections, and UTI's. Right now I have another UTI and with that I have severe abdominal, diarhea, bloody stools, and right kidney pain. I am being treated with antibiotics, which are not helping. The infection is getting worse, and I have begun having a fever. My doctors are saying it is not a kidney stone, and they are just saying the pain is probably muscle spasms. I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Please help me.

Sarah -
I am a 23 yr old female and I just went through a very bad time with multiple kidney stones. I was in ER 4 times before they referred me to an uroligist. Each time they told me that 'maybe I had already passed a stone and I had an infection' - the truth was that the stone was still there and not passing through and there was much more pain on the way. You did not specify what kind of doctors you've been seeing, but if you haven't seen a urologist, please do so even if the problem is gone now (which I hope it is!)
