: hai, : i have protienurea of 342/mg/24hrs can some enlightenme. : edema in depentpartlegs. : but bp 120/80 : urea/creatinine normalrange : i am hepatis A + IGg : I AM INDIAN ALL OTHER HEPATIC PROFILE IS NORMAL : EDEMA COMES DOWN ON SLEEPING Hello. Sounds like IgA nephropathy. I have the same and have had it under control for four years. The first treatment that worked for me was fish oil capsules. The fish oil gave me horrible heartburn, so now I take four different medications - cozaar (lowers blood pressure, even though I do not have high blood pressure), gemfibrozil and lipitor (IgA can and will cause your cholesterol to soar, mine was over 700) and verapimil (I can't remember what that one is for). Any way, things are going great. I have a 24 hour urine test every 6 months. I suggest you see a NEPHROLOGIST and not just a regular MD. Good luck!
