I am writing to see if anyone can give me advise. I suffered cronic bladder infections my whole life until I was a sophomore in high school. Finally, at the age of 16 a doctor realized what was wrong. I had to have my ureter re-implanted. A birth defect I had suffered from for so long with no hope. After the surgery I was infection free for years. Then at age 28 I got an UTI and a couple months later a sever kidney infection. After some testing the doctor's office calls and says I have an irregular left kidney that is inflammed and kidney reflux. My right kidney is enlarged, they said that it was probably trying to compensate for the left. I'm hoping I don't have to go through surgery again, but now I'm waiting to hear where we go from here. Has anyone else had what seems to be a reoccurance of kidney reflux after it has been repaired? Any help is greatly appreciated.
