April, I agree with you. If i were in your shoes i wouldn't waite for 6 more months for a dr. to tell me what to do. I have a 2yr old that was diagnosed with reflux at age 41/2 mnths. She also has a double drainage system on her right kidney (two ureters) ... when she was first diagnosed we went through several test. Has your son had a VCUG? Or a renal ultrasound? If you have not taken him to a pediatric urologist - I would recommend that you do so. Our little one is on a maint. antibiotic every night to prevent infection and to try and prevent any kidney damg. but in a few months we are going to have surgery to fix the problem. If i were you i would get another opinion from a ped.urologist asap. Best of luck with your son.

: i was wondering my son is 3 months old and has been dignoised with hypospadious deformation of the penis.. it has caused his right kidney to be deform.. The dr he has been going to has put him through test upon test. because he says there is a blockage in his right kidney but they seem not to be able to find out where yet.. The dr that he has been seeing is saying that it might be some kind of reflex in hes right kidney.. but he said he wants to wait 6 more months before he does anything for him.. I'm scared that his kidney might fail completely and i don't want that to happen i need a second oppion to see what needs to be done.. I want to bring him to a specialist for my babys kidney to see what they have to say about him and what should be done i don't want to wait any longer for his dr to figure out what he can do for my son.. Do you think i am thinking right? I would really like a specialist to talk with and let me know what to do.. Please help me.. sincerly yours April c.Dionne
