: : : I'm posting again with this question.

: : : Has *anyone* taken (or been told not to take) Glucosamine and/or Chondroitin Supplements? There must be others who have joint aches, etc. *and* PKD

: : : Thanks!
: : : Katherine

: I am 18 and have polysistic Kidney disease! I have had it so for about a year as far as i know. My Mum and Grandad have it. My grandad had his Kidneys replaced around two times and then died about 7 years ago. My mum struggles with hers and I'm just getting used to it. I was told there were no cures at the moment but the best thing was not to drink and watch what you eat because anything that thickens your blood is bad. ALso you have to watch your blood pressure.

: : Hi Katherine,
: : If you have been diagnosed with RA and not degenerative arthritis you might be interested in the report that I can send to you.

: : RA and PKD will both be helped with "Doxycycline" taken long term, meaning 3 to six months
: : minimum. If you respond, and you will, the PKD will cease to replace your kidneys with cysts
: : and you will not be facing dialysis in the future. The RA (if you have it) may take longer
: : if you are in the roughly 30% who are likely to respond..

: : Good luck........ And write if you are interested............. Ron

Ron,
I would like to know more about how Doxycycline can help PKD. Please advise.
Casey
