I have had blood in my urine every so often for about a year and a half. My doctor sent me to a uroligist who told me my Prostate was swollen and inflammed. I was put on antibiotics for the condition but every month or so I get a large amount of blood showing up in my urine. It last only one day and then might not show up again for another month. Over the last 6 months I get a pain by my right kidney that comes when I have the blood in the urine. Has anyone here had such an event? I'm going in for a ultrasound soon and when I mentioned the pain to my doctor he thought at first stones but he said the pain level would be much greater. Any ideas?
