: I too have cronic kidney stones and have for the last six years. Have finally been diagnosed with Proximal Tubular Acidosis. Basically my body is too acidic and is usually in a constant state of medabolic acidosis. Am taking an incrediblly high dose of potasium 3x daily called Uracit K, a diauretic, 25mg 2x a day, and drinking a bi-carbanate drink (nasty) also. Drink RO water, low calcium diet, low fat, no citrus foods or drinks either and that includes vitamin C tabs!! Also very low sodium. And no soda's(phospherus) also causes stones. All this to help not make stones worse and still pass a tremendous amount because of the disease. At least 1-10 every month to every other month. Kidney disease is also prevailant in my family history. Stay after your Uroligist and Nephrologist to make a diagnosis so you may hopefully end your sufferring. Good luck and god bless.
