I have one functional kidney as a result of a transplant and my doctors have told that alcohol does not have any adverse effects on the kidney as it does on te liver. However when drinking alcohol you need to make sure you stay hydrated because alcohol acts as a diuretic and makes you go to the bathroom alot. So when drinking alchol for every three drinks you should consume 12oz of water.
