: I have pain in mylower left front and low in my back. my ultrasound said i had a shadow. i have taken the antibiotics too, although i still have pain in my left side and back. what do you suggest?I suggest that you request your dr to refer you to see UROLIGIST to have an IVP , a KUB, or a CT scan to done - shadowing usually represents the presence of kidney stone which if not handled properly can cause permanent scarring of kidney and possible obstruction. get it checked out by the UROLIGIST -a urinalysis will detect if there is blood in urine which can signify stone or persistant infection or other causes of the pain - questions doc will want to ask - how long have you had the pain? Does it come and go ? What type of pain - sharp, dull ,aching ,pressure ,like bad toothache ? How long does it last? How often do you urinate - more or less than usual? Do you have nausea, chills, burning when going,or fever? On a scale of 1-10 how do you rate the pain?Been there done that. Good luck to you - don't put it off.
