My wife has been diagnosed with MDS since Dec. 1996. She has recently
been classified as having "Refractory Anemia with Excess Blasts in
Transformation". Our hemotologist has told us this is virtually the same
as full-blown Leukemia.
She is transfusion-dependent for red blood cell supplementation. Her White
Count has recently been rising at a fast rate. Her Hemotologist has advised
Topotecan infusion if her white cells continue to rise. I would be interested
in any comments on this condition, and especially concerning the Topotecan
5-day infusion.

Thanks.
