my partner has recently been dignosed as " mild myelodisplastic disorder". Two years ago her white blood cell count was 2.9 and today it is 2.8.A "watchful wait" has been initiated, consisting of a six month duration monthly monitoring of blood chemistry. I am seeking any and all information on this disorder with respect to it's normal progression, what treatment to expect, prognosis, treatment to be anticipated, options,. This disorder is hitherto unknown by the correspondent, and he would like to be able to determine how it will "fit in" relative to treatability, mortality, etc. The only symptom/sign of anything wrong is fatigue in an otherwise very active and energetic person.
