I have come across a patient of prolymphcytic leukemia with exterme sensitivity to alkylating agents. Presentation was with fever, gen lymphadneopathy, heaptosplenomegaly, anemai and thrombocytopenia. After confirmation of diagnosis, he was managed with leukeran, prednisolone. he had grade IV neutropenia, with fulminant pneumonitis. He recovered after heavy and prolong ed antibioitcs. he was then managed with steroids alone for two cycles. He had recurrence of symptoms and i gave him steroids and endoxan ( 50 mg thrice daily fro four days). he had by 6th day grade IV neutropenia with pneumonitis, and he suffered from a brain stroke. his recovery was very slow and ventful with several complications. He died of cachexia. I would like to know the experineces of others in thjis type of leukemia.
