Wake Forest is doing a study with people who have MYELODYSPLASTIC SYNDROME, MDS, or pre-lukemina. They are using this transplant drug that has been around for 15 years. The test is suspose to see if the need for transfusions slow down, or diminish at all. There will be 72 people in this test. So far all that have taken this drug have stoped needing transfusions all togeather. I can't remember the name exactly but it is called Thyroglobin...
