I have pulmonary fibrosis and I'm waiting for a lung transplant. I am still working, I have a sedate job. There isn't much info on this. I was told that it was a relatively new diease (since 1940's). I'm on steriods, but they didn't help me.
I've gone to Pul. Rehab. & that has helped my breathing. I've been doctoring about 3 or 4 years for this. If I can be of help let me know. I can let you know what I know. I don't know of any one that has this that I can talk to.

Thanks
: I was unaware that women could get pulmonary fibrosis. Did you find out any more information?

: Thanks

: : : My mom has pulmonary fibrosis. She is 72. She is now on supplemental oxygen. How does this disease progress? Her doctor told us that she could live 2 years or 10 years. What can we expect to happen?

: : Bonnie,
: : My Mother ,who is 68 has just been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Like you I am full of questions. To my knowledge she was not given much imformation.
: : Good luck,
