: I'm not sure I'm posting this to the right message board, but here goes.......I have had asthma for the past five years and was recently diagnosed by a specialist in Boston with Sarcoidosis. I'm interested in communicating with anyone who has this condition as well. There is so little known about it. How you get it, if it's hereditary, or something you breathed in the air. Also would be interested to see what kinds of treatment programs anyone with this condition is trying. I currently am taking Accolate, and use a Serevent inhaler for my asthma. When my sarcoidosis flairs up my doctor puts me on prednisone for a very short period of time. There are other anti- inflamatory drugs out there, but because of the asthma, I cannot take them as they all cause difficulty in breathing. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have this condition or know anyone who does.........
what exactly is sarcoidosis, what were your symptoms, and how did they diagnose you? I;m curious because I am having chronic asthma/respiratory problems and seeking answers.
thanks in advance. michale
