8/16/00 My fiancee died of this disease on 5/10/00 He was diagnosed from an infectious disease doctor. It altered his lifestyle, was no longer able to work in his construction field but was retraining in the architect field with going to college for a degree. He was ill for 2 years, it started as flu symptons and he just had trouble with any type of exertion. We never realized that he was close to the end. He was home from the hospital 2 weeks and then he was gone. He was diagnosed with boop in one lung but had scans and something showed up in his other lung and his lower back which was never diagnosed. Be persistant with the doctors. We were never told the seriousness of his stage of the disease. Predizone and breathing exercises and zoloft for stress was his main treatment.
