I was diagnosed with BLEBS just on Monday, 09/11/00. I will be having surgery to correct this situation on Monday, 09/18/00. From what I understand, blebs are small bubbles on the surface of the lungs and they expand and cause the collapse of the lung because of the air between the lung and the chest wall.
You can find out more about it under PNEUMOTHORAX.
Pray for me because I am a little scared about the surgery. It requires chest tubes for approximately 4-5 days. This surgery has been recommended to me because I have had a history of collapsed lungs for the past few years and most recently had them collapse in February and now again in September.
Hope this information helps.
