Bird is no longer an independent company. They were purchased by Thermo Electron and then consilidated Bear Medical and Sensormedics Corp. They are now part of Thermo Respiratory group and are located in Yorba Linda California. As far as the T400 respiratory device goes I understand that the device is quite old and there may be other products more modern that could meet the patients requirements and clinical needs. If you tell me more about the patients use perhaps I could list some other devices that may be more modern.
