  affect of ammonia on lungs

I have used a "blue-line " machine to make copies
of large plat maps and certificates of survey in
the clerk and recorder office of courthouses.

I have stood beside the machine for 10 years for
anywhere from 1/2 hour to 2 hours daily up until
2 years ago. At that time, I used such a machine
6 hours daily for 4 days per week. Toward the end
of an intensified 1 1/2 year use in this manner
I had a horrible cough. I went to NP who took
xrays of lungs and said it did not look like pneumonia.
She gave me a prescription which I took for 2 weeks.
Back in for a check-up - said I was fine. Felt worse,
back to NP - said I needed more medicine for 2 more
weeks. After about 6 or months, I gradually felt better. But, the whole time, whenever I blew my
nose, mucus was pink. When I coughed up phlem, it
was pink. I went to a heart specialist who gave
me tests, checked me out and said I had scarring
on my lungs from Ammonia NOT pneimonia.

I first of all want to know what to do for my health
2nd, I want to know if others have had this problem
and what they did about it. I want to sue my employer.
Please let me know if anyone else knows anything about this. Thank you
