My doctor ordered a chest x-ray because the asthma I had as a child returned(wheezing rale sounds). The x-ray revealed a 1.5 cm nodule in my right lower lung. A CT was recommended. I had CT done which revealed a 1.3 x 1.3 cm nodule with a 1 cm attachment to the pleural surface. Repeat CT was recommended. I went 3 month later showed no changes. I have to repeat CT in 3 mos. but my doctor said I should wait 6 months. I'm worried because I have constant pain and throbbing where the nodule is also in other areas of my back. I also have chest pain, wheezing -short of breath, cough up phlegm, and flushing in the face. I was also told that I have a 1 cm adrenal nodule which they say looks benign but a CT follow up is recommended as well. I also feel a throbbing pain in my upper stomach. It scares me to think that it might be lung cancer. I'm afraid if I wait too long it might be too late. I smoked for 14 yrs --1 pk a day. I quit 6 yrs. ago. My next CT will be in January. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.
