This is my first time in this board. I am a medical technologist and I have SLE (Lupus). The test you were asking about Russell Viper Venom Test is used to detect something called a Lupus anticoagulant (also known as antiphospholipid antibodies). If you have this Lupus anticoagulant you may have a higher than average risk for developing blood clots, BUT NOT EVERYONE WITH A LUPUS ANTICOAGULANT WILL DEVELOP BLOOD CLOTS. Also, having a lupus anticoagulant DOES NOT mean that you have SLE (lupus).
The best thing you could do is arrange a visit with a Rheumatologist, or a specialist that treats people with arthritis and other "rheumatic" diseases. They are the most experienced in dealing with Lupus and other autoimmune disorders.
I hope this info helps you.
