Hi, I don't know for sure whether you are right or not. However they have thought for many years there may be a genetic link in lupus. I am the only known person in my family with lupus, however, in hind sight I believe my grandmother had lupus. She didn't have the rash either, but all the other symptoms and she died of kidney failure. Good luck and I sure hope your daughter, as well as you, will be okay.
